This is a very cool bakelite brooch made in the 1930s. The bakelite parts are a translucent apple juice color and the rest is a silver tone metal. The bar at the top is carved to look like wood and painted with a brick red enamel which is carried over to the drop at the bottom. The design has a very Bauhaus look but I can't attest to its origins.
