1940's gold plated sterling silver owl brooch with rhinestones. In the 1930's Coro invented a brooch they called the Duette which could be separated in two to become a pair of dress or shoe clips. In this case it's more of a triplet as each owl can be worn individually.
The owl has long been a symbol of wisdom, higher learning and intelligence and can be found in the mythology of the Greek and Egyptian cultures as well as Native American traditions. You, of course, can find your own meaning.
