Item: This is a beautiful silver compact made in Italy in the 1950s. It is engraved with a classic Rococo acanthus leaf pattern with a flower basket in the center. It opens by pushing the square corner tab which then pops up the lipstick holder using a spring loaded mechanism that opens the lid as well. To close just push the lipstick holder back in, close the lid and release. This no longer has any makeup in it but it still has it's original powder puff inside. The mirror is in excellent shape with no loss of silvering.
