This is an exceedingly rare signet style ring made by Bell Silver circa 1940. Someone used tape inside the band to size the ring down a bit. I wasn't able to remove all of it but enough to glimpse the Bell Trading Post logo peeping out from underneath years of "patina". Bell's jewelry is very well made and highly sought after today by collectors. The company was founded in the 1930s and headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It later became Sunbell in the late 1960s. The logo used on this ring is the earliest of several designs used by the company over the years. Their Thunderbird rings come up for sale from time to time but this Indian Chief version comes up only rarely. This ring is in very good condition with fairly minor wear for a sterling ring of this age still showing quite a bit of detail. It's also in the very wearable size of 11.
