Item: This is an antique hinged box on a chain made circa 1925 with some very nice engraving. This has a mirror on one side and a powder pat but looks like it was never used as a compact.These were sometimes used as patch boxes, snuff boxes and even rosary cases and were ususally hung from a chatelaine. Modern uses could include pill box, locket, ring box etc.

Condition: 9 - Excellent, some wear and patina consistent with age. It looks like the silver plating inside has flaked off.
