Item: This is an Italian toleware box made in the 1950s in the style of the 13th century originals. It has an antique style map of the world on the front and an identifying label on the bottom. The interior has the powdery feel of chalk and the box is very lightweight. I don't know much about it other than it's very pretty and is a fun decorative piece perfect for a shabby chic, Barouque or Renaissance style interior.
