Item: This is a great rosewood snuff box with solid brass fittings on the top and bottom. There is a fun etching of a dog on the top panel and some personalized engraving on the bottom. The top slides open and closes tightly . Little trinket boxes like this have a thousand and one uses. It could make a nice jewelry box, a desk organizer for paper clips and rubber bands, beads, buttons or any other bits and bobs that you might misplace or lose otherwise. This was made circa 1900 and is in good condition with the exception of a crack in the left panel which does not go all the way through the wood.
