In the early 1930s the Coro jewelry company patented their Duette. It was a clever invention that allowed a brooch to be separated and used as a pair of dress clips. The double cockatiel was the most popular of these designs. Each bird is hand enameled to add color and when separated can be used as dress, fur or shoe clips.
