Item: This hand enameled red, white and blue ribbon and bow fur clip was made circa 1941 to show support for France after the German invasion and occupation. The French national motto - Liberty, Equality and Fraternity are written in French on the three ribbons. The enamel is in very good original condition. Overall the piece shows some wear and patina consistent with age and one of the pins is a little loose. This is marked Silson by the manufacturer with the words Pat. Pend. on the reverse.
