Item: This is a wonderful antique gold filled locket with a fancy repoussé Rococo design surrounding a hand carved shell cameo. The cameo shows a right facing mans head wearing a Spartan soldier's helmet. The vintage chain is a few decades newer than the locket and has a spring ring style clasp which is marked 1/20 14k. The locket dates to the Victorian period and signed by the maker inside. It shows some wear at the edges and on the reverse of the locket but is in generally good condition.
