Item: This is a sterling silver mesh handbag with both 14k yellow and rose gold plating made by Whiting and Davis circa 1925. The clasp has a cobalt blue glass cabochon on it. The bag is in very good condition showing some wear and patina consistent with age. With the interior shots I've tried to picture what at first glance may look like holes in the mesh but there are no breaks in the links so I can't really call them holes - just links that have been "widened" by something that was carried in the purse at one time.
